Cómo comenzó una apasionante historia de éxito en 1962

Cuando Heinrich Sagel conoció y se enamoró de Annemarie Vauth, puso la primera piedra de la fundación de Vauth-Sagel sin saberlo, porque un día su suegro se acercó a él en busca de un socio comercial. Hermann Vauth dirigía originalmente una quesería. Sin embargo, tras su merecida jubilación, se sintió demasiado joven para retirarse y persiguió una nueva idea de negocio: por su propia experiencia, era el que mejor conocía las necesidades de las queserías, por lo que quería productos auxiliares para sus necesidades. Como los dos se entendían a la perfección, Heinrich Sagel no se lo pensó mucho. 

En 1962 fundaron la empresa Vauth-Sagel KG para la "fabricación y procesamiento de alambre y chapa".

Los primeros productos fueron desmenuzadoras de requesón y bandejas de alambre para queso. Por tanto, es justo decir que el amor y el queso fueron los dos elementos que desempeñaron un papel decisivo en la fundación de Vauth-Sagel.   

Por cierto, hasta hoy nos hemos mantenido fieles a los materiales chapa y alambre. Para ello, a lo largo de los últimos 60 años hemos ampliado nuestra gama con plásticos y madera. Esta gran competencia en materiales es única en nuestra industria. Y también es único que sigamos fabricando casi exclusivamente en las inmediaciones de nuestra sede fundacional. Una de las razones es, sin duda, nuestra identidad como empresa familiar con los pies en la tierra, fiel a sus raíces y dirigida en su segunda generación por los cinco hijos de Heinrich Sagel.

1960s

1962 establishment by Hermann Vauth and Heinrich Sagel in Brakel-Beller; the company starts to produce industrial goods and functional hardware.

1970s

Start of the production of beds for hospitals, nursing homes and the German army. Relocation to Brakel-Erkeln and construction of the first office building.

1980s

A pull out larder system marked the next milestone in the company history; addition of the first plastic products to the production range.

1990s

The company continued to grow; addition of wood expertise and in-house logistics. Consolidation of the individual companies into the Vauth-Sagel Group, now Vauth-Sagel Holding.

2000s

Diversification: the business welcomed the new millennium with several irons in the fire. The acquisition of the well-established brand Mauser was another milestone in the Vauth-Sagel history.

2005

Establishment of the logistics centre in Beverungen.

2011

Vauth-Sagel realignment and further consolidation: in future, customers from all over the world would be able to draw on Vauth-Sagel's system technology development and material expertise as well as that of Westo in the area of polymer technologies. Having a central development department unlocked a wide range of possibilities, particularly when it comes to the combination of several materials. Whether wire, steel, sheet metal, wood or plastic – all of this was now available from one source, tailor-made to meet the individual customer needs.

2012

Vauth-Sagel successfully celebrated its 50th anniversary.

2013

Establishment of the company Vauth-Sagel USA in the summer of 2013. It was an immediate success, due to the fact that customers were now not only able to source country-specific system components for perfectly equipped kitchens domestically, but also the entire global range of "quality made in Germany" via the company's headquarters.

2014

All of the Vauth-Sagel Group's four production sites in Germany were successfully certified according to EN ISO 14001 for their environmental management system and according to DIN EN ISO 50001 for their energy management system.

2015

CORNERSTONE – the new corner unit solution by Vauth-Sagel. With the CORNERSTONE system solutions, we brought the corner unit out of the corner and the entire cabinet contents in front of the unit.

2016

The new s600 square metre showroom at the company headquarters in Erkeln makes it possible to truly experience space. Four unique show homes symbolise a global village that takes the current home-furnishing megatrends on board: urbanization, sustainability, cross-generational living & customization.

2017a

Successful businessman and charity sponsor Heinrich Sagel celebrated his 80th birthday on 9 February 2017. The Vauth-Sagel Group is one of his greatest achievements.

2017b

Not quite three months later, to coincide with the Interzum 2017, Vauth-Sagel relaunched its brand. A new logo and a new CI heralded the beginning of the next era.  The company's new look was presented for the first time at the interzum in Cologne in the form of a polarising stand concept, a global village designed entirely in the new CI blue. Under the motto "Home of Living Space", VS presented itself for the first time as a provider of storage solutions for all areas of the home beyond the kitchen, thereby paving the way for future product developments.

2018

The corner unit fitting CORNERSTONE Maxx and the practical utensil box VS ENVI Toolbox won several awards. The VS ENVI Toolbox was awarded the Iconic Award Innovative Interior, the German Innovation Award and the IF Design Award. CORNERSTONE MAXX won a German Design Award, a Universal Design Expert Award and a Universal Design Consumer Award.

2019

Developed in cooperation with Rietberger Möbelwerke, the unit fitting VS SUB Comfort was designed to add more comfort to furniture throughout the home and was honoured with three design awards: an Iconic Award: Innovative Interior, a Universal Design Expert Award and a Universal Design Consumer Award. At the interzum 2019, VS SUB Comfort also won the interzum award in the category intelligent material & design.

2021

Los años 2020 y 2021 estuvieron marcados por la pandemia de la COVID-19. Por primera vez, en 2021 la feria interzum tuvo organizarse virtualmente. Para la ocasión, lanzamos nuestra sala de exposición digital VS Live!. Gracias a su planteamiento ludificado, la plataforma interactiva invita a los visitantes a quedarse en ella.

2022

Desde su fundación hace 60 años, Vauth-Sagel ha defendido la protección medioambiental y una cultura empresarial sostenible. La responsabilidad social y medioambiental está firmemente establecida como elemento central de nuestra actividad e intrínsecamente ligada al éxito de nuestra empresa. Ahora, hemos sintetizado nuestro compromiso en el actual Informe Ambiental de 2022.
